Euregio Meuse-Rhine (EMR)

«Where diversity connects» is our motto. The EGTC Euregio Meuse-Rhine is one of the oldest Euregios connecting 5 partner regions, 3 official languages (German, French and Dutch) and 3 countries (Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands). The EMR office in Eupen (B) supports and coordinates the cross-border cooperation in this region.

Podium 24

Podium24 is a cooperation of six municipalities in the Dutch ‘Heuvelland’ region in South Limburg (Maastricht, Meerssen, Valkenburg, Eijsden-Margraten, Gulpen-Wittem and Vaals). Podium 24 helps companies to find staff. People with a certain distance to the labour market are the main target group. Podium24 stimulates people to cross the Dutch-Flemish border to explore job offers in the neighbouring country.

Vidar

Inhabitants of the municipalities Sittard-Geleen, Beek and Stein can make use of Vidar’s services to find work, develop skills and receive income support. Work can mean either paid or subsidised jobs. But also a protected work environment, volunteer work and informal care are possible. Our mission is to provide work and opportunities for everyone!

Employers and organizations can contact Vidar for recruitment and selection of personnel, as well as advice about personnel issues, subsidies and schemes. Vidar offers tailor-made advice and solutions and has a diverse database of job-seekers who are eager to work. These are people who are looking for a new challenge, or people with a certain distance to the labour market. These can be young people, people over 50, status holders and people with labour disabilities. But also job-seekers from the border regions (Belgium and Germany).

Companies can also come to Vidar for the outsourcing of production work. This can include assembly and (re)packaging of products. Production work can be very diverse, taking place in-house in a company as well as in Vidar’s own production halls. Please check the Vidar website for more information: www.vidar.nl

Arbeitsamt der Deutschsprachigen Gemeinschaft (ADG)

The Employment Office of the German-speaking Community of Belgium provides services to job-seekers, employees, school leavers and apprentices. The offer includes job placement, advice and assistance in the search for work, assistance with entering or returning to the work place, career and training advice, as well as information on careers and the labour market. The services provided to employer clients include the search for suitable applicants for vacancies, the provision of training and further training for employees and consultancy services, notably information, advice and support to businesses seeking public grants as well as administrative and technical assistance.

ZZP Fabriek Maastricht

The ZZP Fabriek Maastricht (ZZPFM) is a cooperative that initiates and monitors  projects related to self-employed professionals (called ZZP-ers in Dutch) from the city of Maastricht and its surroundings. The ZZPFM represents these self-employed in negotiations with local and regional authorities regarding economic topics. Also, it provides them with relevant information through meetings, the website and social media.

In the context of the youRegion project ZZPFM wants to stimulate and facilitate the crossing of borders for self-employed professionals and the development of a euregional network.

Maastricht University (ITEM)

The expertise centre ITEM operates as pivot for research, counselling, knowledge exchange, and training activities relating to cross-border mobility and cooperation. In an increasingly globalised economy and internationalised society, knowledge support is essential for building a transfrontier labour market and tackling diverse challenges such as demographic change and skills shortages. ITEM is an interdisciplinary institute which was initiated by Maastricht University (UM) in cooperation with Zuyd Hogeschool, NEIMED, the (Dutch) province of Limburg, the city of Maastricht and the Meuse-Rhine Euregion.
